  • Social Security Number: A valid U.S. Social Security number is required.
  • Education: You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Pre-License Education: Complete a 63-hour DBPR-approved course before taking the state exam. Valid for 2 years.
  • Education Waivers: If you hold a 4-year degree in real estate, you may be exempt.
  • State Exam: Administered by Pearson VUE after DBPR application approval.
  • Fees: Application fees apply. Military veterans, spouses, and Florida National Guard members may qualify for fee waivers.
  • Fingerprinting: Background checks are required via a registered Livescan provider. Submit fingerprints after sending your license application.
  • Application: Submit online or print and mail your application.
